La Chanterelle must be earned.
Located a 20-minute walk from the parking area, it is our most remote cabin — by design. Set on one of the most beautiful and secluded sites on the Refuge, it offers a complete disconnection from everyday life.
La Chanterelle is part of our rustic cabin collection: an outdoor composting toilet, a kitchenette for simple meals, and no auxiliary heating. This is an authentic forest-living experience.
Just steps from the lake, on an enchanting site completely set apart, you are truly alone. No neighbours. No noise. Just the two of you and the forest.
A queen-size bed is set in a large picture window overlooking the lake. Wake up with the forest in your room. A functional kitchenette allows you to prepare your meals. A wood stove, which you tend yourself, keeps the cabin warm through the night. Everything you need to live well in the woods, on the wildest site of the Refuge.
Like all our cabins, La Chanterelle operates fully off-grid, without any connection to modern infrastructure. You manage your water, your firewood, your heat. This is off-grid living in its most immersive form.
The cabin includes a functional kitchenette with the essentials for preparing simple meals, propane cooking equipment, a sufficient supply of drinking water, battery-powered lighting, and a wood stove for heating.
The queen-size bed is located on the main floor, in a beautiful picture window overlooking the lake.
