To make your arrival as smooth as possible and ensure a warm welcome, here are a few important details about check-in and departure.
You can arrive anytime after 3:00 PM.
When you arrive on site, please stop by the Guest Lodge to complete your check-in.
At check-in, we’ll provide you with a pocket guide that includes important information such as the access code to your accommodation, a map of the site and trails, and other useful details for your stay.
It’s important to let us know your estimated arrival time once you’re on the road. This helps us organize our day and make sure someone is available to greet you at the Guest Lodge.
If you expect to arrive after 8:00 PM
Please let us know as early as possible so we can provide you with the necessary information to help you reach your accommodation independently.
An early arrival (from 1:00 PM) is possible. In this case, please notify us in advance: a $25.00 fee will apply.
The Guest Lodge
The Guest Lodge is open daily from 8 AM to 11 AM.
During this time, guests are welcome to come take a shower, use the Wi-Fi, recharge their phones or batteries, or simply enjoy a coffee or herbal tea inside or on our outdoor patio.
From mid-October to mid-June, we’re also open on Fridays and Saturdays from 3 PM to 7 PM.
In summer, we’re open Thursday through Sunday, from 3 PM to 7 PM.
Le Sous-Bois Café-Buvette
When the Guest Lodge is open in the afternoon, it’s also the perfect time to stop by the Sous-Bois Café-Buvette!
Come explore our wine list, discover our selection of microbrewery beers, or try one of the best cocktails in the Upper Laurentians, crafted on the spot by Mathieu.
Sous-Bois is more than just a café-bar. It’s our cozy gathering spot tucked in the forest. Whether you feel like chatting with other guests, meeting some locals, or simply unwinding with a good drink in hand, the vibe is always welcoming and laid-back.
In short, it’s the perfect place to disconnect… or connect.

Seasonal Notes – July
Summer is in full swing, and the forest is bursting with life: the foliage is dense, the water lilies are in bloom, birds are singing at all hours, and the lakes have never been more inviting.
After the peak mosquito season of spring, July brings some relief… but it’s still important to stay mindful. The humidity and recent rainfall continue to create ideal conditions for mosquitoes, especially at certain times of day.
Here are a few simple tips to help you stay comfortable:
-
Bring long, lightweight, light-colored clothing (pants and long sleeves).
-
Pack a hat and a head net.
-
Avoid scented products, which tend to attract insects.
-
A good insect repellent (ideally biodegradable) can make all the difference.
Lastly, keep in mind that trails may be muddy or slippery due to heavy rainfall and lingering humidity. We strongly recommend bringing proper hiking boots or waterproof shoes for your outings.
With a little preparation, you’ll be ready to fully enjoy all the beauty and richness that nature has to offer during this incredible time of year.
Pour s'y rendre...
We are located at the very end of Rang 5&6.
Rang 5&6 is a residential area with several children, please drive carefully and respect posted speed limits.
Important notes for guests arriving from Gatineau/Ottawa:
If you’re coming from the Gatineau/Ottawa region, we recommend traveling via Mont-Laurier using Route 309, or taking Route 311 until you reach Highway 117.
IMPORTANT
Do NOT take Lac François Road or Chemin Poulin.
These are not maintained and may be impassable. There is no cell reception in that area, and we will not be able to assist you if you get stuck.
Important notes for guests arriving from Mont-Tremblant/Montreal:
If you’re coming from the Mont-Tremblant area, we recommend not using Waze, as it adds about 20 minutes to your trip by sending you through Chemin Guénette.
Lièvre Rouge is accessible via Chemin de la Tour, located just before the Ultramar gas station in Lac Saguay.
À faire au moment de votre départ
Like any good camper, it’s essential to follow the Leave No Trace principle.
In short, always leave your campsite as if you were never there.
Most importantly, do not leave any food behind, not even in the fire pit.
